Lakai “Where the Wild Things Are” Collection

For many of us, Where the Wild Things Are was a staple of our childhood reading experiences.  Now, Lakai has released a collection of sneakers designed with that classic tale as inspiration.  Based on the upcoming Spike Jones movie, which is based on that particular book, these shoes feature an assortment of designs, among them including two with the name of the book/movie printed on the heel, and two others with images of the “monsters.”  Don’t take the kiddy-theme to mean that this pack has bright, pastel colorways; the colors used in this pack tend torwards the darker end of the spectrum, and definitely look mature enough for any given sneakerhead out there.  With the Telford, Mariano 2, Howard, and MJ3 models all represented, this is defintely a pack with a little something for the child in everypone.  Look for them sometime in the middle of Summer 2008.  Via Hypebeast.
