Even though LeBron James has always declined to participate in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest due to the unnecessary risk of injury, it hasn’t stopped Nike Basketball from putting out a Sprite-themed Zoom LeBron Soldier II.  Even though Sprite sponsors more parts of the NBA than just the Slam Dunk Contest, we can help but think about it considering the contest – along with All-Star Weekend – is quickly approaching.

The Zoom LeBron Soldier II “Sprite” edition comes in a colorway similar to a Sprite can featuring green, blue, yellow and white.  The color scheme is one thing, but the details of this PE takes the shoe to another level.  Filling the blue part of the upper are white bubbles to remind you, perhaps, of the refreshing and crispy nature of Sprite.  Also featured is a huge LeBron Jumpan on the bottom of the sole along with “King” and “James” printed on two hangtags on opposite shoes of the pair.  Word is these were strictly produced as a player exclusive for King James and are not set to drop anywhere, not even House of Hoops, but we’ll keep you posted if we hear anything different.
