Bad Brains x Vans – Sk8-Hi & 46 LE – February 2009

It was just this afternoon that pictures of the Bad Brains-inspired Vans Chukka surfaced, so we’re somewhat surprised to see the rest of the collection already.  Maybe that’s a testament to the Brains’ disdain for convention, as the shoes certainly reflect their frenetic style.  Appearing in black with bright accents, the rest of the collection includes a Sk8-Hi and 46 LE (which we can barely distinguish from Authentics and Eras).  The Sk8 features bright yellow lightning bolts on the side panels, while the 46s rock a lion pattern laid atop a rasta ‘spectrum’.  Along with the shoes come three tees featuring the band’s logo and select album art.  The hype behind this pack is building, and its set to blow later with this month’s worldwide release.  Via HB
