Somewhat literally hot on the heels of the Air Jordan-evoking pair of Vans Owens Hi LS revealed Tuesday are a new pair in another Chi-town palette. The most obvious change is the shift from a white upper to black, but the sole swap may prove most functionally significant. Instead of the newer, almost basketball-style sole on the LS joints, the Vans Owen Hi Vulc Mu features the diamond-patterned outsole we’ve come to know and love from Off the Wall, encased in a vulcanized rubber white outsole a la their Sk8-Hi.
