Nike SB Dunk Low – Toxic Avenger

Nike SB Dunk Low – Toxic Avenger

Nike SB Dunk Low - Toxic Avenger

It looks like there’s no cause for alarm with the whole padded tongue fiasco: the latest two pairs of Nike SB Dunk Lows we’ve seen have been stuffed to the gills, just like we like ’em.  Despite the success of your author’s email campaign to Beaverton along with outcry from sneakerheads all over the ‘net, it seems like some folks are happy to hate on the Swoosh’s skate division.  Lack of originality, they cry.   For a variety of reasons, these pics are likely to be similarly polarizing.

The Nike SB Dunk Low inspired by 1980’s cult classic ‘The Toxic Avenger’ have surfaced before, but we held off on posting the pics, because frankly, they weren’t very clear.  These still don’t show the entire shoe, but we’re getting a better feel for these with the latest round of images.  Featuring a Barf-like combination of rusty red and brown, these find accents in a bright red Swoosh and two different shades of ‘toxic’ neon green on the midsole and outsole.  You needn’t fret about the flat laces or skinny tongue — these are clearly samples.  Set to drop in late 2009, we’ll have plenty more photos and info for you in an attempt to stuff mops into the mouths of all the naysayers.  via NikeSB.org
