California’s Madsteez and local artist Evan “Stink” Rossell have teamed up for this groundbreaking project for Nike 6.0. The Braata is based on the character Stinkween- a fusion of Madsteez’s Weeneze and Rossell’s Stink alter-ego that was conceived specifically for this collaboration. “StinkWeen represents both me and Stink, much like a Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde relationship,” says Deren.
Aside the vibrant colors and glowing features, the Braata has some structurally innovative design. Built with Nike Free Technology for maximum comfort and board feel, as well as a cold-wrap construction to reduce environmental impact. In tune with the split personality of Stinkween, the Braata’s will be released in two colorways- green for man, and purple for women.
In conjunction with the sneaker release, very limited quantities will come with a Madsteez Braata Wallet, produced by Poketo, an art driven brand also from California. The wallet will don similar branding of the Stinkween character.
