Many have pointed out the Hyperdunk 2010‘s similarities to the Nike Zoom Kobe V, going as far as calling it a “high” version of the shoe. But this upcoming colorway of black, varsity purple, and varsity red hint at an original Air Jordan colorway from nearly two decades ago. The outsole design paired with the purple/red colors may remind you of the Air Jordan VII (7) colorway that Michael Jordan wore during the 1992 NBA Playoffs, commonly referred to by the younger generation as the “Raptors” colorway. The design of the outsole can be compared to that of the Jordan VII, and along wit the black upper, the comparison really isn’t far off. These are set to hit Japanese retailers like sevens in November so a stateside release should fall in the Holiday 2010 season as well, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.
