Kevin Garnett’s footwear history would label him as a journeyman, as he’s been a representative for AND1, Nike, adidas, and now Chinese brand Anta. A signature shoe for the former League MVP and one-time NBA Champion was immediately created for the future Hall-of-Famer, the Anta KG 1. The luxurious package of the Anta KG 1 is part high-performance basketball shoe, part lifestyle, with a white full-grain and perforated leather upper with black leather piping, a clean forefoot strap, and smooth toe-box. What appears to be simple in design actually features a plethora of KG-specific branding and design cues; on the forefoot strap and heel is the Anta KG logo, with a tiled print on the Anta logo on the upper. The upper-most golden lace eyelets feature Garnett’s jersey number, and his initials are embedded into the herringbone traction on the bottom sole, which also features a metallic gold midfoot plate. You can catch Kevin Garnett wearing both the Home and Away colorways of his Anta KG 1 during games so check out the detailed gallery below and let us know what you think of the design. via US10.
