Rooted deep within Nike history and pop-culture is the Nike Air Mag, the fictional, futuristic, and flight-functioning Nike shoe featured in Back To The Future II. It’s the year 2015 when Marty McFly first encounters the Nike Mag, which features an out-of-this-world design and a hands-free lacing system that catches him by surprise. Since the Mag was featured in that movie, Nike historians and fans have been awaiting the release of the shoe, which one could guess that Nike has some sort of interesting plans for in 2015. Just a few years ago, Nike released the Nike Hyperdunk ‘McFly’, which, despite being a nice touch as the Hyperdunk slightly resembled the Mag, only served as an appetizer to one big entree that we might all be expecting, but one sneaker customizer took it upon himself and created a custom pair of Mags from scratch. While it doesn’t feature the auto-lacing system and is constructed of different materials, this is certainly one of the best custom shoes we’ve ever seen. Take a look at this Nike Mag creation below, and if you want to own a part of Nike history, check out the auction from lango510x on eBay.
