Air Jordan V – Joe Johnson Atlanta Hawks Home PE

Air Jordan V Joe Johnson White Red Yellow Pe 02

You might be wondering how this colorway is a Player Exclusive for the Hawks given their current red, white, navy blue jersey, but these date back to 2006/2007 when the Air Jordan V was subject to a mass Retro-release. That coincides with Atlanta’s uniforms at the time, which featured red, yellow, black, and white – an updated version of the older style worn by Dominique Wilkins. The ’06-’07 season was just the second for Johnson, and it also happened to be his first season averaging more than 20 points a game and being an NBA All-Star. Jordan Brand certainly struck the iron while it was hot, and they did so by outfitting Johnson in this Air Jordan V PE. This particular size 16 pair has never been worn, and you can quickly determine that these were in fact made for the former Arkansas University standout based on the ‘2’ stitched on the heels. This PE colorway is somewhat similar to the WMNS release of the Air Jordan V often referred to as the ‘Sunset’ colorway for the use of Sunset yellow on the midsole. Additional images await you below, but if you want to take it a step further and check out what the asking price is, take a look at the auction from bugginoutboy on eBay.
