The Nike Zoom Hyperfuse made its grand debut in July 2010, releasing in a number of general and nation-specific colorways, with the 2010 FIBA World Championships serving as an international stage debut for the high-tech Nike Basketball shoe. One year later and the sophomore effort of the Hyperfuse arrives, adopting just a ‘2011’ designation and an all-new re-tooled upper. The ankle of the Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 features the high-cut construction, with Fuse reaching up to its peak and wrapping most of the lateral side of the upper. The medial side-wall of the shoe features the lightweight Fuse material as well, except for the toe area, which is covered with the polyurethane shell.
