It’s hard to imagine today’s one-and-done ‘college’ basketball players having much loyalty to their schools (unless you enroll, dominate and win an NCAA crown like Carmelo Anthony). If a guy like Kyrie Irving becomes an elite superstar with his own signature line, surely we’d see a Duke colorway, but since Irving only played a handful of games in Durham, even near-Blue Devil Kobe Bryant could be seen to be just as connected to the school. Kobe skipped college to go straight to the pros, so instead of the various Duke colorways accompanying Kobe homecomings, we look to the annual Lower Merion High School Aces PE to rep for the Mamba’s alma mater.
