Was it not for a significant turn of events, the Air Jordan line would have paved a completely different road. Michael was poised to be the primary representative for Nike Basketball’s new ‘Flight’ division, balancing out the rugged ‘Force’ that was (no pun intended) a force since ’82. Instead, the Air Jordan legacy continued on a greater path, but Michael still wore the Air Flight ’89, making the shoe one of the greatest cult-hits today.
