It seems that with each passing year the public gets louder and louder on the subject of bringing the true NBA superstars back into the Dunk Contest. Whatever happened to the epic slams from the likes of Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, and Vince Carter? And among the league’s current crop of stars would there be any single player that could generate more buzz off his participation than LeBron James? Nike apparently had similar high hopes a couple years back that Bron would throw his hat in, cranking out this player exclusive version of the Nike Air Max LeBron 7 (recently spotted at Sneake Con NYC) back in 2010, although, sadly, LeBron never wound up participating.
