Classics Revisited: Jeremy Scott x adidas – First Collection (2009)

Jeremy Scott Adidas First Collection

ADIDAS CLASSICS WEEK

In just a short span of four years, the Jeremy Scott for adidas Originals series has managed to wedge itself some room in the crowded sneaker scene. It’s been established as the eccentric footwear option for those looking for some variation from their Foamposites and Air Jordans, offering crazy ideas like the ‘Teddy Bear’ and ‘Wings’, but where did it all start? For the final Classics Revisited of this week, we’re focusing on the first series collection of Jeremy Scott x adidas, which features the original JS Wings, Metro Attitude Hi, and Artillery Hi. The latter two were known for its gaudy colorways and materials and particularly the oversized Tre-Foil tongue, but its undeniably the Jeremy Scott Wings that set the collection to an uncharted plateau of footwear design concepts. The original Wings sprouted the Wings 2.0, a safari of stuffed-animal models, and a slew of other unconventional designs, paving the way for a generation-defining footwear line that has no signs of slowing down. Re-live the original Jeremy Scott for adidas Originals collection below and let us know what you think is in store for the future of the JS x adidas line!
