Nike LeBron X “Cork”

Nike LeBron X “Cork”

LeBron James’s first NBA Championship was a long time coming, but the moment finally arrived this past June, and you can best believe that the corks were popping and the champagne was flowing. To further honor King James’s first ring, Nike has whipped up a special edition of the LeBron X featuring a genuine cork material on the upper that has previously not been seen on too many sneaker models outside of the Air Force 1 Bespoke program. In addition to commemorating LeBron’s 2012 NBA title, the “Cork” LeBron X also marks another important first for the Swoosh in that it is the first in a line of upcoming Nike Basketball releases to crossover with Nike Sportswear for premium non-performance versions of their high-profile bball models. We’ve already seen the Kobe 8 Lifestyle, but it appears that the Nike LeBron X “Cork” will beat it to the punch as the first NSW signature model to hit retail when these drop in limited quantities this December. Keep reading for more info and images and stay tuned for news on a specific release date coming soon.

Popping champagne bottles on June 21 following his first championship was a tribute to an unprecedented year for LeBron James. Three-time league MVP, Finals MVP – these individual awards pale in comparison to the honor James and his teammates accomplished.

World Champs. A distinction that stands the test of time like a fine champagne, and inspiration for a genuine cork version of James’ tenth signature shoe.  Inspired by the LEBRON X performance shoe, Nike Sportswear brings a sophisticated edge to the shoe with premium materials and fabrication intended for off-court use.

This LEBRON X NSW cork edition marks the first of multiple Nike Sportswear versions of Nike signature basketball shoes, all remixed with premium materials for non-performance use.

The Nike Sportswear LEBRON X cork shoe launches globally in December in limited quantities.
