Extra Butter Asics Kill Bill Teaser 4

With all that went on at Sneaker Con NYC, it’s understandably tough to think of one visual that emphatically stood out. But steeped in the back of every event-goers mind was the mysterious exhibit put forth by Long Island’s Extra Butter, who opted for a chilling display rather than the customary table of sneakers, flyers, and back-and-forth bartering. It was a rather simple set-up, with an oversized yellow billboard sitting above a lay-out of two iconic re-creations of the Kill Bill movie franchise – a shattered cereal bowl and a streak of blood next to a severed scalp of hair sitting above a pile of snow.

What makes Extra Butter’s macabre exhibit extra exciting is that message isn’t straightforward at all, but rather one that requires a level of movie knowledge and depth that Extra Butter has proudly displayed with their store mission and earlier sneaker collaborations. In fact, Extra Butter loyalists will remember receiving these same cryptic note-card in the shoeboxes of the Asics Gel Saga II “Kill Bill” that released several weeks ago, so those who already rocked with EB had a head start in unraveling this mystery. This is definitely one of the most unique “teasers” we’ve ever come across in the industry, and only time will tell what EB has in store with Asics, so let us know what your guesses are and stay tuned to Sneaker News for updates.
