The saga of the Red October Yeezy 2 continues. The sneakers were seen on feet of yet another celebrity-this time around it was rapper and noted shoe fanatic Macklemore. Pairs touted by previous people have been called into question authenticity-wise, but Macklemore’s appearance in the sneakers is likely to drum up less doubt given his sneaker chops. Making the moment all the more exciting was when, at the end of the first song during his Times Square performance for New Year’s Eve, he threw the pair out to a couple of lucky audience members below. In a recent interview with GQ, Macklemore admitted that the Nike Air Yeezy II “Red October” he launched into the crowd seven years ago was fake.
