Bobby Vinton’s ‘Blue on Blue’ was an ode to heartbreak, but the man never saw what Swoosh Skateboarding could do with a monochromatic azure palette. Nike SB has a handful of tonal blue releases on tap for February, which along with a few black and grey editions, has this set feeling like the ice-cold dead of winter during which they’re dropping. As far as pairs in the blue/teal range, we have the first Nike SB Zoom Bruin since last year, the Koston FR in a sort of literal ‘midnight navy’ style, the Lunar Gato, Project BA and Team Edition 2s. Koston’s second gives us this set’s lone grey style, and for black, there’s a leather Janoski lowtop and the first Blazer Premium SE complete with One Shot-ish toe reinforcement.
