The Nike Flystepper 2K3 is a continuation of several Nike Sportswear design threads. Most obviously, the name and upper panels refer to the Flight 2K3 that was popular the hardwood about a decade ago. The ‘stepper’ part including velcro straps on a vulc-soled hightop is an iteration of the concept begun with the NSW Skystepper, itself seen upon its debut seen as an everyman’s Air Yeezy. By doubling up the straps and adding Alpha Project dots a la Flightposite 3 and using a shark skin or scale-shedding toe texture like the Kobe 8 SS, we have a new casual hightop that elegantly brings together a decade of selections from the Swoosh’s most dominant years yet.
