Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Varsity Red” – Release Date

This pair was so close to being a true and through retro of an Air Jordan 1 Low from the batch of 1985 originals. This Air Jordan 1 Low Retro Low OG “Varsity Red” is slated to release on March 28th, and the only thing missing from nodding at the past in a perfect homage is a missing metallic sheen to the Swoosh branding. That being said, the minor tweak will still leave traditionalists satisfied in a similar way that the muted tendencies of the Air Jordan 1 Low “Neutral Grey” did. After Gio Gonzalez hinted at the relerase earlier, we had a sense of what was in-store in terms of the overall aesthetic. This Air Jordan 1 features a pristine white leather base while simple Varsity Red accents hit on the branding, lining, heel collar, and outsole. The original ‘Nike Air’ branding once again returns to the tongue while the ‘Wings’ logo is delegated to the heel in a matching white. Are you a fan of the look? While images remain rather sparse, you can check out the few that are out there below and know that this retro arrives on 3/28 for $130.
