Twenty-five years ago, Tinker Hatfield’s next vision of Air Max was unleashed. His desire to place the Air Max as the key design feature was exemplified by the enlarged casing, which not only made the heel cushion appear larger, but was actually shaped like the human heart. The sneaker went on to be a globally celebrated sneaker and certainly ranks near the top of best Nike sneakers of all-time. This year, Nike will pay homage to the Silver Anniversary of this icon in six ways; Cork, Paisley, Snakeskin, Velvet, Crock-skin, and an inexplicable wild mash of colors and materials on a sixth pair will be presented to us in-store soon (they’ve already released in Europe).
