Making the recent news headlines was President Barack Obama’s planned visit to the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR. The POTUS is set to arrive today to chat withe Nike brass regarding the Trade Promotion Authority and other initiatives that would affect Nike operations on some levels, primarily with manufacturing processes in the United States. As a special gift to Obama, Nike is gifting a brand new sneaker called the Jordan MTM, a collaborative design effort between Mark Parker, Tinker Hatfield, and Michael Jordan. The shoe is said to be red, white, and blue and was made inside the Nike campus. We’ll bring you a first look when it surfaces.
