Concepts Revives the Karhu Aria with Premium Collaboration

Whenever the folks over at Concepts return with an upcoming collaboration, the sneaker world is put on notice. Their unique sensibility for color blocking, premium materials, and storytelling has rightfully cemented the Boston boutique as a unique collaborative partner, and their latest chosen brand might be a little bit of a surprise. 1995’s retro runner in the Karhu Aria gets the CNCPTS‘ stamp of approval this time around, as the Finland brand plans on making a comeback given the smart play to enlist the right people to give their vintage model some added notoriety. The Concepts x Karhu Aria pays homage to the Helsinki train station and the surrounding copper roofs. Accents of orange are in play here too in a nod to the beautiful sunsets seen in the area. What results is an all suede upper complete with micro-perforations on the toebox with an oceanic array of blues finished off with orange on the ankle ankle support and tongue. Available this Saturday, June 20th at Concepts’ Cambridge location, you can also pick up the release online at noon. More photos below.
