The sneaker community when up in arms when the OG colorway of the Air Jordan 7 began to be called the “Raptors” upon its early-2000s release. The original concept released long before the Canadian expansion team ever came to fruition, but when the shoes re-released in 2002, the younger generation began calling the mix of red and purple the “Raptors” colorway, and we can begrudgingly accept that.
