New York Mets fans haven’t been this excited since their glorious 2006 campaign was suddenly cut short in the NLCS. Tonight, the orange and blue faithful have a chance at clinching a spot in the NLCS with a win over Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers, who face elimination after being clobbered the night before. Not that Mets fans need any more motivation to root with gusto for their team, but this photo of Patrick Ewing wearing the Ewing Boomer Low cleat PE in a 1993 Celebrity All-Star Game should have New Yorkers burning with nostalgic pride.
