After part 1 late last month, Sneaker Politics continues their Saucony collaboration inspired by the Battle of New Orleans of the War of 1812 on its 200th anniversary. Part 2 features the same Saucony Courageous model, this time dressed in a colorway inspired by American General Andrew Jackson and Jean Lafitte, the pirate whose army was recruited by Jackson to fight alongside the troops that ultimately defeated the British. The Courageous features a color palette taken from General Jackson’s uniform, with navy and cream suede and gold leather. Special details include a tongue tab with a silhouette of Jackson on his horse and a blood red outsole that signifies a walk through the bloody battlefield. Both insoles feature one flag: the American flag on the left and the flag of Cartagena, which the pirate Lafitte flew over his ships, on the right. Each pair will come with a special box, three sets of laces (White, Navy and Gold) and three stickers. Additionally, the first 50 customers online will receive the three gold pins (Cannon, P logo and the Jackson).
