Todd Snyder Brings “Black & Tan” Alive With The New Balance 998

The New Balance 998 has long since transcended the world of running sneakers to be a lifestyle go-to through numerous collaborative efforts, premium suede and leather uppers, and an overall menswear aesthetic that’s usually unparalleled in the running footwear world. Now legendary menswear designer Todd Snyder has teamed up with New Balance for a pair of his own.

The New Balance 998 “Black and Tan” is inspired by New York City’s iconic Old Town Bar as the limited edition collaboration features a black and tan suede upper split at the toe. “I love a Black and Tan, and I always love an old school pub,” Snyder said of the collaboration. “It was great to work with New Balance to customize a smart-looking sneaker that captures that retro vibe in a modern way.”

Todd Snyder’s New Balance 998 collaboration will be available for a limited time starting today, August 15th at toddsnyder.com or at New Balance’s customization site, NB1. Be sure to check out a teaser video below and stay tuned for more NB updates right here on Sneaker News.
