How To “Buy” The Nike Mag

How To “Buy” The Nike Mag

Nike Mag Power Lacing Release Info

The power-lacing Nike Mag is here. Unfortunately, no amount of money can guarantee you a pair. Unlike the 2011 release of the shoes, which saw 1,500 pairs hit eBay, Nike is “releasing” the power-lacing Mags via a lottery, which means the only way you can secure a pair is if you win one. The only way to enter is to purchase a $10 lottery ticket, and there is no limit to how many tickets you can purchase. All proceeds from this lottery go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which goes toward research for finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. In addition, there are only 89 pairs in existence (Back To The Future II released in 1989), making the power-lacing Mag much more limited that the 2011 version and far more coveted.

To purchase a ticket, download the Nike Plus App (not the SNKRS App). You have until October 11th to purchase tickets, and Nike will notify winners on October 17th. Nike will also hold live auctions of the Mag at three locations – Hong Kong on October 11, 2016; London on October 14 and 17; and in New York on November 12 at The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s benefit gala, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s.”

Download the Nike+ App, purchase a ticket, and…good luck. Due to the adaptive fit technology used in the shoe, the only available sizes are 7, 9, 11, and 13.
