Jordan Son Of Mars Black Cat January Release 01

Introducing the first release of Jordan Brand’s 2017 calendar, the Jordan Son of Mars “Black Cat”. By now you’ve already decided on whether you’re going to go after the premium style of the Air Jordan 6 “Blck Cat”, a new take on the classic 1991 retro featuring additional perforations, reflective 3M touches, and a new smoky black outsole unit perfect for a minimalist way to stunt in throughout 2017. This Jordan Brand hybrid takes a similar approach thanks to touches of Black, Anthracite, and Metallic Silver, but accomplishes everything in a different way thanks to a pattern-heavy splash of elephant print throughout.

For the uninitiated, the Jordan Son of Mars takes elements from some of Michael Jordan’s most famous retro models that had the added bonus of the world’s perfect salesman: Spike Lee’s Mars Blackmon character. The Son of Mars combines the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 6 with an aggressive midfoot strap for a change of pace. This “Black Cat” look features elephant print on the toe, heel, and strap to add more texture while micro-perforations hit the mudguard and the Air Jordan 4’s mesh cage helps ventilate the tongue. A Metallic Silver shark teeth from the Air Jordan 5 livens things up while an icy outsole adds a clean finish. You can grab this pair on January 1st, 2017 for $160 USD, but be sure to head over to our Air Jordan Release Dates for more info.
