Jordan Brand will be celebrating the Chinese New Year in style this weekend with a Chinese exclusive release of their bold Jordan Chinese New Year Collection featuring the likes of two different Air Jordan 12 colorways and an updated Air Jordan 31. Each model features real Bamboo accents on the lace eyelets or heel depending on the silhouette while Chinese characters add to the celebratory motif. Today we get word that availability stateside will only continue to grow when the U.S. release date rolls around on January 28th, as retail giants like Foot Locker will be stocking the trio.

The Air Jordan 12 Chinese New Year features a “Taxi” like colorway in white and black with a unique mudguard pattern standing out. Chinese characters hit the tongue to match the Bamboo eyelets. The grade school girl’s pair takes a different approach as an off-white upper sees Team red on the lining add a dash of vibrancy. The Air Jordan 31 Chinese New Year aims to go an entirely different route thanks to a premium white leather heel giving way to the patented Swoosh gradient in black. Perhaps the most noticeable asset of this pair is the Bamboo heel contrasting the icy outsole.
