Off The Hook Finds Inspiration In Montreal’s Smoked Meat Sandwiches For Vans Collaboration

Off The Hook Vans Vault Mid Skool 77 Lx 01

Montreal’s known for their smoked meat sandwiches – a delicacy piled high with some of the best salami you’ll ever try – and the cuisine also speaks to the city’s unique multicultural background ever since the art of the perfect delicatessen sandwich was introduced to the city from the Jewish immigrant community in the early 1900s. Off The Hook, Canada’s one and only Vans Partnership store, is proud to present their latest collaboration inspired by Montreal’s famous deli options atop the Vans Mid Skool ’77 LX.

The OTH x Vans Mid Skool features a lightly distressed leather upper in burgundy to match the shade of the meat found in-between two slices of rye bread. Lighter shades of burgundy also land on the toe to pay homage to the different fat contents in the meat from “lean, medium, or medium fat”. Of course, the pair wouldn’t be finished off without the mustard-inspired yellow laces to match the brown hints of rye-inspired shades on the side panel stripes and lining. Check out more detailed shots of this tasty-looking Vans collaboration below and grab your pair from OTW store on March 18th at 12PM.
