Updated April 3rd, 2017: The Nike PG 1 “EYBL” releases on April 8th, 2017 in-store via Foot Locker.

The annual Elite Youth Basketball League aka the EYBL is set to kick off soon, and Nike has prepared one of the most exciting colorways in recent memory on one of the best new signature shoe debuts we’ve seen. The Nike PG 1 comes outfitted in a full black suede upper  and strap with a mesh toe-box, but it’s the color accents that truly make the shoe pop like never before.

The Swoosh achieves that Jewel effect as it billows outward with a color-shift iridescent finish, while the two-toned speckling on the midsole and opaque white outsole throws back to the colorful energy that Nike Basketball dominated a few years back. The inner bootie is where things get exciting, as the hits of teal, green, and magenta are a tribute to the cities where the 2017 EYBL is being held. While a release of the Nike PG1 EYBL is not in the works, you can expect the EYBL participants and perhaps Paul George himself to lace these up.
