We were a little disappointed to not see the Kobe AD as part of Nike Basketball’s “Flip The Switch” Collection in honor of the post-season. Luckily, Nike just forgot to include some beauty shots of Kobe Bryant’s latest signature model with the post-season themed collective as today we get official images of the Kobe AD Flip The Switch due out May 5th. Kobe Bryant and Eric Avar’s collaborative efforts have always brought some of the sleekest bonafide performance renditions in Nike’s hoops catalog and the Kobe AD continues that tradition despite the fact that the Black Mamba has stepped off the hardwood for good. It’s no coincidence that this pair features a retro Raptors colorway either, as this silhouette has been championed by DeMar DeRozan all season long. The Kobe AD Flip The Switch features a black engineered mesh upper with that unique jagged cut Swoosh in a Metallic Hyper Violet and Universty Red gradient.
