Updated on June 12th, 2017: The Nike Zoom VaporFly 4% is expected to release in July 2017 for $250.
Nike broke some serious ground this past weekend in Monza, Italy as Eliud Kipchoge ran in insane 2:00:25 26.2-mile marathon, a mere 25 seconds away from breaking the two-hour mark. As part of this journey, Nike outfitted Kipchoge as well as Zersenay Tadese and Lelisa Desisa with the new Nike ZoomX VaporFly Elite footwear, which features the brand new ZoomX cushion technology (you can see the innovation breakdown here). Those shoes will never release to the public, but Nike does plan on releasing the ZoomX VaporFly 4% on June 8th in the “Ice Blue” launch colorway as well as a white/black colorway.
