Nike Sportswear and Nike SB have brought back a full-on Dunk renaissance over the past year with a number of original early 2000s era Dunks returning to store shelves. This weekend, a special version of the Nike Dunk Low featuring 9 total materials will be releasing thanks to London’s own The Basement, a select group of young UK creatives connected both online and offline by their passion for culture and community. The Basement x Nike Dunk Low utilizes canvas, corduroy denim, mesh, double twill canvas, nubuck, heavyweight denim, flat leather, tumbled leather, and 3M reflective accents all in a simple and refined Black/Gum colorway complete with mini-Swoosh branding to top things off.
While the initial response has been overwhelmingly positive, there’s only one place you’ll be able to purchase the Basement Nike Dunk Low this weekend: at a yet to be announced pop-up location in London’s Soho district on July 29th and July 30th. All proceeds from the collaboration will go toward the Youth Futures organization which provides mentorship for London youth.
