The ASICS GEL-Lyte Retro Releases In OG Materials, But With New Colorways

The newest retro runner in the ASICS stable is back with a blend of original materials and new colors for these three latest releases of the GEL-Lyte. The original GEL-Lyte model that would later be followed by the popular GEL-Lyte III and GEL-Lyte V is back for the first time ever in 2017, already dropping in one OG colorway each for men and women. The trio of releases feature the original padded nylon, mesh, and felt construction of the GEL-Lyte just like how it was built in 1987—and they even feature the OG color blocking—but the two men’s and one women’s versions are presented in an all-new set of colors. Each with a white base, the men’s colorways include green and brown or blue and light blue detailing, while the women’s release includes a pleasing mix of light pink and purple.

All three of the latest GEL-Lyte retros are arriving at overseas ASICS Tiger retailers now, so you can expect them later this summer here in the US. In other ASICS news, don’t miss the new atmos collab on the GEL-Lyte III featuring a tiger camo upper.
