High Schooler Lamelo Ball Debuts His Big Baller Brand MB1 Signature Sneaker

High Schooler Lamelo Ball Debuts His Big Baller Brand MB1 Signature Sneaker

Big Baller Brand Melo Ball Signature Shoe

Lamelo Ball is only 16 years old and officially has his own signature sneaker with his family’s Big Baller Brand imprint. While his outspoken dad announced that he was working on Lamelo’s signature for the future, nobody expected that the model would be coming so soon. The Big Baller Brand MB1 will be priced at a similar and unnecessarily gaudy amount when compared to the ZO2 at $395 USD and features a part snakeskin, part camouflage knit upper that’s strikingly similar to some other brand’s entries into the hoops world – specifically Brand Black’s Rare Metal silhouette that features the same upper pattern that, according to the brand, was inspired by a moth’s wings.

Celebrities have shown support for the family’s independent start-up nature, but there are some concerns in terms of quality, the ethics of blatant Boost rip-offs for the ZO2 and the fact that the MB1 is described as having a “Fly Knit” upper on the Big Baller Brand website, a technology that’s been patented in name by Nike. Where do you stand on the Big Baller Brand phenomenon? Do they deserve praise for their independent mindset or criticism for designs that are clearly inspired by other successful brand’s basketball models?

Check out more detailed shots below courtesy of SLAM and if you’re really into this model, stay tuned for availability this Holiday 2017 season. Reserve your pair via Big Baller Brand right now if you dare.
