Hanon Recalls The Infamous “Belly’s Gonna Get Ya” Ad With Reebok Collaboration

Hanon is teaming up with Reebok to create a Workout Lo model that pays homage to the brand’s classic “Belly’ Gonna Get Ya” ad from 2000. With the idea of moving more and less imbibing in food and drink in mind, the two entities have paired together for this flesh-toned iteration. The skin-tan premium suede is meant to emulate a beer belly – equipped with pebbled leather overlays meant to portray cellulite – while the relaxed indigo is a metaphor for jeans trying to hold the belly in place. Co-branded red heel tabs are placed on the heel of each sneaker which is representative of the tabs that come adorned on most jean selections – proving that attention to detail is not at a premium. Finishing touches include equally co-branded tongue tabs and insoles that consist of Reebok’s signature logo as well as a newly designed “Belly” logo – furthering the tribute to the infamous ad.

The HANON x Reebok Workout Lo Plus “Belly’s Gonna Get Ya” will be released by way of an exclusive in-store launch event on Friday, January 26th, with remaining pairs being made available online the next day. Grab a detailed look at the collaboration below as well as that original ad from 2000.
