Bristol Studio Unveils First adidas Crazy BYW Collaboration

One of adidas’ hottest new sneakers of 2018 is none other than the adidas Crazy BYW, a supremely modified basketball shoe from the Crazy era with BOOST cushioning technology. Already touted for its lifestyle-friendly versatility, the Crazy BYW model is privy to some chic upgrades, with Bristol Studio giving us a first look at a premium collaboration that ties in with the fashion label’s FW18 collection.

Luke Tadashi’s take on the Crazy BYW brings forth the reversible effect seen in his designs, which are also a nostalgic take on basketball players flipping garments and wearing them inside out. Furthermore, the colors and Japanese materials are inspired by Tadashi’s heritage as he points specifically to his grandmother whose journey through life began in Japan, through World War II, and ultimately America. The design of the shoes aims to tell a story that reflect today’s issues with immigration and geo-politics.

The Bristol Studio x adidas Crazy BYW will release during All-Star Weekend at adidas Consortium retailers in Los Angeles from February 15th-18th for $200.
