Nike took its Air Max Day celebration to the millions of fans of HQ Trivia by sponsoring a special game tonight, putting forth the biggest grand prize in the digital game’s history. The brand also worked with the App-based game to create a special edition colorway of the Air Max 270 that features a white upper, indigo blue heel, and the HQ logo on the heel-tab of the shoe. Nike confirms that only 100 pairs have been created, and only the winners of the game will be gifted the shoes. Just four winners survived the string of fifteen trivia questions, splitting the pot and earning a pair of the shoes that won’t ever hit the public.
Of the fifteen questions, several of them included topics related to Nike footwear, its athletes, and the designers; Kobe Bryant’s soccer-inspired basketball shoes, the inventor of Air Max, and even sneakerhead lingo all played a role in this creative partnership for Air Max Day.
