Russell Westbrook’s Triple Double Anniversary Celebrated With New Jordan Shoe

Russell Westbrook has to average 12 rebounds per game over the Oklahoma City Thunder’s last four to make history once again. Last year, Brodie became the first NBA player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple double over an entire season, and he is on the verge of doing it once again. In honor of last year’s historic achievement, Jordan Brand has plans to release a “Triple Double” colorway of the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 that utilizes a Thunder-appropriate color scheme. Black makes up for the majority of the upper, while blue and orange adorn its sole unit with a multi-colored speckle detailing. To further commemorate Westbrook’s place in the history books, “04/09/17” is printed on the left outsole, while “31/10/10” is featured on the right in honor of its upcoming anniversary.

Pairs are scheduled to arrive at Jordan Brand retailers on April 9th with an MSRP of $125 USD. Grab an official look at the sneakers below and be sure to follow the reigning MVP’s quest to a second straight season averaging a triple double.
