Nike Releases An Air Max 97 In Black Patent Leather

Nike’s recent habit of wrapping the sleek Air Max 97 with flashy patent leather for a new take on a classic continues as a black/grey colorway of the bullet-train inspired sneaker has surfaced. Featuring a grey and silver upper with the 97’s iconic lines dressed in classic reflective, a full-foot black patent leather mudguard and black detailing on the tongue, midfoot swoosh and heel tab, the shoe’s sleek and still-futuristic-in-2018 look is rounded off with a white midsole, black full-length Air Max cushioning unit, and an outsole with black and grey detailing. These premium Air Max 97s are available in Europe now, and are set to release on Nike.com soon for $160 USD. In other Air Max news, Skepta’s hybrid Air Max 97/BW is set to release this May.
