With summer right around the corner, Nike’s Air Max 1 has been arriving to market in a cornucopia of head-turning colors from “Curry” to “Barley Rose” to “Desert Tan.” The newest colorway of the classic silhouette features a look that’s almost Raptors-inspired … but not quite, as its pink accents are significantly lighter than the shade used by Toronto’s beloved team. The shoe features an interesting medley of materials on the upper, with a grey nylon toebox and heel collar giving way to leather midfoot overlays and a stately black leather mudguard. A purple patent leather swoosh/tongue patch and bright pink Nike Air heel branding add a pop of retro flair to the otherwise-muted upper, and the shoe is rounded off with a simple black midsole, outsole, and heel Air Unit.
