Air Jordan 5 “International Flight” Inspired By Exhibition Game In Barcelona

Jordan Brand’s upcoming International Flight Pack pays homage to the unmatched influence that Michael Jordan had on the rest of the world. He took a sport that was only popular in American and popularized it in Europe, Asia, and beyond. One of the sneakers that will release as part of this collection is an Air Jordan 5 dressed in Racer Blue, Sail, and Cone.

This sneaker is designed in honor of a game the goat played in Barcelona, Spain against the Spanish National All-Star team. Its colorway is designed as a tribute to the blue and orange uniforms worn by both teams in that game in which MJ dazzled the crowd with a game-high 37 points in the iconic Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red”. Its instep and the layer underneath its mesh panelling were designed based off of Barcelona’s iconic street art. Tumbled leather dressed in Sail makes up for the majority of the sneaker’s real estate, while a black midsole and heel Jumpman round out its details. Peep an exclusive set of images below and mark your calendars for the August 4th release of these Jordan 5s.
