Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Rookie Of The Year” Honors MJ’s First NBA Achievement

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Rookie Of The Year” Honors MJ’s First NBA Achievement

On July 25th, we brought you a first look at an Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG dressed in a “Chicago” color blocking scheme with hidden messages under its ankle collar flaps. Today, we have a detailed set of images for that same shoe as well as the meaning behind it. Aptly given a “Rookie of the Year” monicker, this Jordan 1 takes inspiration from the infamous golden brown shirt that MJ wore during his ROY press conference on April 30th, 1985. Underneath those aforementioned flaps, you can find a quote from that same presser on one side as well as the statistics from his legendary Rookie of the Year campaign on the other side. Other details include a bright red Nike Air tongue tag and black on elements the likes of its laces, ankle collar, midfoot Swoosh and outsole. While a detailed set of images showcasing every angle this sneaker has to offer is available below, pairs are expected to arrive at select Jordan Brand retailers on November 17th.
