adidas Adds NMD Soles To The Boston Super

adidas Adds NMD Soles To The Boston Super

The Three Stripes’ summertime propensity for adding an NMD midsole to some of their most classic models doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. After a modified take on the classic Micropacer recently surfaced, we now have a look at an updated version of the Boston Super that’s dubbed the “Boston R1.” The new hybrid silhouette features the classic trainer’s sleek and speedy upper combined with the midsole, outsole, and heel tab of an adidas NMD R1, making for a look that’s at once old and new. The upper features a combination of dark grey nylon underlays and earthy grey suede overlays, while the main accents are provided by cool grey three stripe midfoot detailing and laces, plus a swooping red hit above the heel panel. The midsole offers an instantly recognizable NMD style, with a full-length white Boost cushioning system and red/black blocks. The hybrid aesthetic is then completed by a black NMD outsole and black/white heel pull tab. Get a closer look at the new Boston R1 below, and expect them to drop on adidas.com and at Trefoil Brand stockists September 1st.
