The Nike Air Max Plus Prepares For Fall With Tartan Prints

Fall is the season of plaid, stripes, and patterns. Not quite warm enough to wear a t-shirt and not always chilly enough for a hoodie, the transitional season offers the ideal weather for all the patterned flannels and layering pieces you’ve been stashing in your closet all summer. And when it comes to patterns, there are few that stack up with a classic tartan plaid. The timeless look simply screams fall, and now you’ll be able to rock it on your shoes as well as your shirt, as Nike has adorned the Air Max Plus with a heritage tartan print.

The entire upper — from the toebox to the midfoot and the tongue — is dressed in a traditional red, yellow, and green plaid. The Plus’s striking plastic overlays arrive in black, and further black accents arrive on the mudguard, toe cage, and reflective heel to ensure all attention is focused on the bold print. A black midsole and yellow heel Air Max bubble round the look off, and a small hit of branding is provided by the Tuned Air badge on the heel. Look for these ladies-only checkered kicks to drop on Nike.com and at Swoosh Brand stockists September 13th with a retail price of $160 USD.
