KITH And Tommy Hilfger Bring Back The OG Basketball Sneaker From 1996

KITH And Tommy Hilfger Bring Back The OG Basketball Sneaker From 1996

With the nostalgia-tinged love for all things ’90s still running as strong as ever, Tommy Hilfiger has re-entered the street style spotlight in a major way. A brand that was worn by everyone from Aaliyah to Tupac during its heyday, Tommy’s loud designs played a massive role in the bygone decade’s culture, and have managed to regain a significant amount of popularity in the last few years with re-releases of on-trend retro cuts and styles. Now the throwback vibes are continuing, as Hilfiger and KITH have teamed up for a capsule collection that puts a modern twist of some of the most classic TH pieces — and brings back the OG Hilfiger Athletics Skew basketball sneaker for the first time ever.

Arriving in two retro colorways — white/navy/red and an almost Gucci-esque green/navy/red — both shoes feature a nubuck upper with debossed Kith and Tommy Hilfiger branding, an asymmetrical lacing system, and a premium leather lining. The look is finished off by a bold jeweled flag logo on the midsole. Arriving in sizes 5-14, both shoes will release at KITH’s web store and retail locations September 8th, retailing for $150 USD.
