The adidas Stan Smith Is Getting In On The Wheat Workboot Action

The adidas Stan Smith Is Getting In On The Wheat Workboot Action

More rugged than a standard pair of sneakers, but not as bulky and restrictive as a full-on pair of boots, wheat sneakers are a perfect autumn hybrid. Usually arriving with some form of boot-related detailing, they fall in a perfect sweet spot between shoes and boots — and are a must for any style-conscious sneakerhead’s fall rotation. Leading up to the fall, many brands dress their most classic silhouettes in a rich light brown, and the adidas Stan Smith is the latest legendary sneaker to join the seasonal party. Constructed of a soft wheat nubuck, the shoe offers special workboot-style details via its brown leather heel piece, gold brass eyelets, and two-tone rope boot laces. Branding is kept to a minimum on both the heel and tongue, and the look is completed by a gum outsole — just as it should be on any good wheat sneaker. These special Stan Smiths are set to release October 1st on adidas.com and select Trefoil Brand stockists, and will retail for an even $100 USD.
